THE 18TH ANNUAL WEEKEND CLASSIC EVENT

Held on October 23-25, 2009 at The Grand Del Mar, STOP CANCER’s 18th Annual Weekend Classic was themed "Under the Tuscan Sun."

Named The ”HalloWeekend” by Co-Chairs, Wendy and Bruce Smiley and their Committee, the event also presented a “Shocktail” reception, Gala Dinner, magnificent Glass Sculpture auction, Live and Silent auctions, , bridge tournament with instruction by world-famous bridge guru Eddie Kantar, mah jongg and poker and spa activities.

Among the Weekend highlights were the opportunity drawing for a new Lexus LS 460, won by Barbara and Ed Prober. The Saturday gala featured the music of Tommy Tassi and The Authentics. The Weekend closed with a Sunday Brunch and presentation of Tournament Awards.
